General usage conditions - for industrial and commercial usage in conditions of high humidity (0-95%, non-condensing). The device is not intended for domestic use. |
NetPing AC/DIN socket is an outrigger power outlet 100V … 240V AC, 50/60 Hz up to 2 KW, which is managed by a low voltage 3.3V … 5V from an IO line of any NetPing server room environmental monitoring units and power distribution units.
It is possible to plug as many NetPing AC/DIN sockets to one NetPing device, as there are available IO lines.
There are 3 terminals, where bare wires need to be inserted and tightened with a screw to connect NetPing AC/DIN electrical outlet to the 100V … 240V AC, 50/60 Hz network. There are 2 terminals at the face to plug power supply wires phase and zero, and another terminal on the opposite side to plug the ground wire.
The load is connected using a Euro plug, which is plugged into a socket on the case of NetPing AC/DIN.
A NetPing AC/DIN socket is packaged with an inseparable cable, with connectors on the ends. A cable length can be increased with the help of flat cable extenders of RC-4 sensor, which are sequentially plugged one into another. Or it can be done independently with the help of any wire with a minimum cross section of 0,4 mm². Maximum allowable length of a flat cable is 100 meters.
Plug NetPing AC/DIN socket using 3 wires:
- Blue (green) wire – IO line.
- Red wire – +5V or +12V.
- Black wire – GND.
- Brown (white) wire is not in use and must remain unplugged!
An IO line, to which a NetPing AC/DIN power outlet is plugged, needs to be switched to the status “output”. When the status is “0”, an IO line will have voltage and the load will be turned on. When the status is “1”, an IO line will be cut off power, the load turned off.
For load switching, NetPing AC/DIN uses a relay with normally closed contacts. This means if a managing wire is not plugged anywhere, voltage will be present in a socket, and a load will be turned on.
NetPing AC/DIN electric socket has no protective elements from a short circuit in a load!
