It is possible to plug as many NetPing AC/DIN sockets to one NetPing device, as there are available IO lines.

A NetPing AC/DIN socket is packaged with an inseparable cable, with connectors on the ends. A cable length can be increased with the help of flat cable extenders, or it can be done independently with the help of any wire with a minimum cross section of 0,4 mm².

Maximum allowable length of a flat cable is 100 meters.

Main functionalities

NetPing AC/DIN socket is an outrigger power outlet which is managed by a low voltage 3.3V … 5V from an IO line of any NetPing server room environmental monitoring units and power distribution units.

Connectors

Plug NetPing AC/DIN socket using 3 wires:

• Blue (green) wire – IO line;

• Red wire – +5V or +12V;

• Black wire – GND;

• Brown (white) wire is not in use and must remain unplugged!

Control and display

An IO line, to which a NetPing AC/DIN power outlet is plugged, needs to be switched to the status “output”.

When the status is “0”, an IO line will have voltage and the load will be turned on. When the status is “1”, an IO line will be cut off power, the load turned off.

For load switching, NetPing AC/DIN uses a relay with normally closed contacts.

This means if a managing wire is not plugged anywhere, voltage will be present in a socket, and a load will be turned on.
