Temperature sensor 1-wire, (THS) | ACTIVE | 19 |
General usage conditions - for industrial and commercial usage in conditions of high humidity (0-95%, non-condensing). The device is not intended for domestic use. |
A temperature sensor is connected to NetPing server room environmental monitoring units and power distribution units, that support a 1-wire interface. Thermo sensors are plugged with the help of RJ12 sockets, on which all 6 contacts are used. Electrically, all 1-wire sensors are connected in parallel to each other, therefore it does not matter to which 1-wire socket on a body of a device a sensor is connected.
To increase a length of a sensor cable, there is a need to use specific 1-wire cable extenders. A 1-wire splitter is included into a cable extender kit. It allows to branch a sensor network anywhere. An overall cable length of a 1-wire network must not exceed 50 meters. If necessary, it is possible to extend sensor flat cables without assistance, using a 6-wire cable, at least AWG24. There is a need to use special equipment for crimping RJ12 sockets. Use a 1-wire splitter to connect a sensor.
1-wire sensors have unique internal numbers, which allow a device to identify each sensor. When connecting a new 1-wire sensor to a server room environmental monitoring units and power distribution units, there is a need to complete a procedure of a device reading an internal number. See more detailed information about a sensor plugin in a document “Firmware Description” for the device, to which you connect a sensor.
