Temperature sensor T811 are designed for measuring an air temperature indoors with no possibility for water to get at the body of the sensor. Sensors are made in the form of the board, installed at the plastic body with slots.
Temperature sensor T811 are connected to NetPing 2/PWR-220 IP power distribution units (IP PDUs). The information about connecting temperature sensors (T811) is given in the documents «User guide» for corresponding NetPing IP PDUs, to which they are connected. The information about configuring temperature sensors (T811) is given in the documents «Firmware description» for corresponding NetPing IP PDUs, to which they are connected.
All server room temperature sensors are connected in parallel to each other, to the same contacts. A body of each digital temperature sensor has a model of a sensor indicated. Before using a air temperature sensor, there is a need to set an address of a temperature sensor independently. An address of a temperature sensor is set by extracting a board of a temperature sensor from a body and by setting mechanic switches (jumpers) into certain location using a screwdriver, included into a shipping kit of a NetPing power distribution units, or manually:
There must be no temperature sensors with similar addresses for a NetPing power distribution units among connected termo sensors!
It is possible to plug up to eight temperature sensors (T811) with loops of maximum length up to 10 meters for each sensor individually to each NetPing IP PDU. A topology «star» is used with a PDU in the center and 10-meter «rays» to temperature sensors.
A loop of a temperature sensor is 4 wires, which transmit the information about a temperature in a digital form. A loop is inseparably connected to a sensor and is 2 meters long. If necessary, it is possible to extend a loop of a temperature sensor using RC sensor loop extenders, 4 meters plugged into each other.
